There are plenty of things to do out and about. You could hire bicycles and take a ride around Penzance, or go on a fishing trip or pleasure boat trip to look for sea-life. You might be lucky enough to see Seals, Dolphins or sometimes even Basking Sharks. If you enjoy walking there are wonderful coastal paths to walk along.

There are some beautiful sandy beaches to visit, such as Sennan Cove, Porthcurno and Marazion beach. Penzance has a wide variety of places to eat and drink. Some of which are steeped in history, such as the Admiral Benbow which is featured in the story Treasure Island.

The ancient market town of Penzance is the Capital of the far west of Cornwall and is set in beautiful Mounts Bay - a body of water dominated by the grandeur of St. Michael's Mount. Located just 10 miles from Land's End, an area of Celtic culture and outstanding natural beauty surrounds the town.

Located in the far west of the County, Penzance is easily reached by either road or rail, with the A30 and A38 roads giving access from all parts of England, mainly by Motorway or dual-carriageway. There are direct rail links with London, the Midlands, the North and Scotland. Express coaches operate to and from Penzance, as part of the national network, to all parts of the country.
