Combe Martin nestles in a sheltered valley, or 'combe', on the north coast of Devon bordering the natural beauty of Exmoor National Park. The two-mile long village street that leads to the beach is reputed to be the longest in Britain and contains a wide selection of inns, cafes and shops. By day, you can explore the many rock pools or enjoy a Devonshire clotted cream tea in one of the cafes, or browse around the gift shops. The village is within easy reach of the fine sandy beaches for which this area is renowned.
Situated in a beautiful and fertile valley on the western edge of Exmoor, Combe Martin lies at the centre of some of North Devon's most spectacular scenery. The approach to Combe Martin, along the coastal road, offers the visitor glimpses of some of these stunning views. The two headlands of Great and Little Hangman dominate the scene which greets visitors to the village as they journey down to the pretty sheltered harbour below.
Combe Martin is the perfect place to visit whether for a short break or a family holiday. Sitting at the heart of North Devon’s beautiful coastline on the western edge of Exmoor national park in a designated Area of outstanding natural beauty we offer something for everyone. Our beach and bay were awarded the Seaside quality award for 2010.
