Arriving at 8pm, recieved a warm welcome with my bags automatically taken up to my room. Down to the bar to relax and choose food from menu. Suprised to see pool table in bar, which I enjoyed a game on. Called for dinner, once again v good service. Up to my room to do some work, via free wifi. Breakfast in the morning then away. Read less
Likes:
Staff considerate but not intrusive. Best hotel fillet steak I've had in many years
Dislikes:
Pillows. (I like a thin pillow, these were foam and therefore would not compress to a comfortable size. Cooked breakfast was offered for an amount greater than most 4star hotels I have stayed in

We stayed to celebrate our wedding anniversary and as we were married here several years ago so we wanted to see how things have changed. Anthony (the owner) and his family continue to invest in making the hotel a fabulous wedding venue and it shows. That said, 'ordinary' guests are also treated with the same high level of service as the Bride & Groom. The food is excellent and Chef will work wonders to accommodate any special requests. My Wife was very happy so what more could a man ask for? Read less
Likes:
The Saddleworth is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. The staff were all friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food is FANTASTIC and the choice of wines superb. Excellent all round.
Dislikes:
If I was being super critical I'd have liked coffee making facilities in our room (I imagine they would've been provided if I'd asked). The TV signal was a bit ropey too but hey, that's a minor point.
