Welcome and general customer service was good.
Room was clean and comfortable with good tea making facilities.
Plenty of hot water.
Breakfast was of a good quality
Dislikes:
As a woman travelling on my own it would have been preferential to see a female face during my stay.
The hotel was desribed as Bourten-on-the-water but was some way out of the village centre.

Thank you for your review and we are sorry that you missed the fact that we are 1 mile from the centre of the village as stated in our publicity. The watermain is currently bering replaced and this resulted in lower water pressure but all showerheads are regularly maintained as we are in a hardwater area . My wife was unable to meet you at breakfast as she was using her expertise in the preparation of your breakfast. We hope to see you again if you return to this area.

We have 6 rooms available (4 doubles and 2 twin/family rooms all of which are en-suite) one of which is our Four Poster room.
