Dislikes:
Lack of parking space.

Thank you for your complimentary review. However we're sorry you didn't feel there was sufficient parking space given there are three spaces in the rear car park and one on the front drive plus unrestricted parking on the road.

Only a few minutes walk or cycle to the start of the 22 mile Clay trail and only 5 minutes drive to the Eden Project. A Trout fishing lake is within easy walking distance. Licenses can be obtained locally.

Other nearby places to visit: Fowey, The Lost Gardens of Heligan; Lanhydrock House and gardens; The Screech Owl Sanctury; Bodmin Jail Museum; Wheal Martyn China Clay Heritage Centre; The Camel Trail (bike hire available); The Pine Lodge Gardens; Charlestown Shipwreck and Heritage Centre and St Austell Brewery Visitor Centre.

After your day of sightseeing relax in our garden ‘Folly’ and in our Ocean Spa - with high and low pressure adjustable jets to massage your body, neck and shoulders . Aromatherapy treatment and massage is also available locally in St Austell.

Cornwall's south coast is a green and gold tapestry of wooded hills dropping down to secluded coves, with inlets that hide enchanted fishing villages or yacht anchorages and pilgrim trails that wind past sleepy farms and ancient stones. We have a large supply of walking/cycling route maps along with local info to plan your days.

With a vast diversity of activities, you might fish for trout, salmon or shark, visit the Humid Tropics & Mediterranean at the Eden Project, cycle on off-road trails, enjoy a local Carnival. festival or Feast week, sail in a major Regatta, or ride as Daphne du Maurier did, far from the maddening crowds on a moor as old as time itself.

The curves of St Austell & Mevagissey Bays, golden with beaches are a haven for watersports and full of interest; Mevagissey's working fishing harbour, the nearby lazy suntraps of Portmellon & Gorran Haven, Caerhayes Castle proudly gazing across its own beach, the inland castle of Restormel and the River Fowey - from trout stream to the deep-water Port of Fowey town. And above them all - the white peaks of the China Clay industry above St Austell at the centre of the Cornish Rivier
