"Fantastic B&B - highly recommended!!!"
We booked the B&B last minute following a disappointing stay in another hotel. When we arrived at the Peaceful Retreat we were welcomed by Sarah, the owner and some delicious home-made Welsh cakes and tea. The B&B was immaculately clean and tidy both inside and out with stunning views from every angle.
Our room had a selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, home-made biscuits and chocolates, fresh fruit, a bottle of wine and fresh flowers- much more hospitable than our previous '4* hotel'. Read less

The food, we had breakfast and ate in the evening was consistently excellent and plentiful, home made local produce. We watched the vegetables being picked from the garden before dinner.

The standard of everything in the accommodation was top quality and the food we had was exceptional.Breakfast on both mornings was the best we have had anywhere. Sarah and husband were very welcoming.
Dislikes:
The bedroom was of a high standard but a little on the small side and the private bathroom was down stairs.

Our rooms are all well appointed, luxuriously furnished and scrupulously clean. They each offer either an ensuite or private bathroom, a King or Superking size bed with the comfort of Egyptian cotton bedding, soft fluffy towels, bath robes and slippers.
On arrival, you will be greeted with a pot of tea or fresh coffee and homemade cakes. In your room you will also find a welcome trug of red, white or sparkling wine, fresh fruit and a selection of handmade chocolates, homemade cookies and fresh flowers. Each room also has a TV with Freeview/DVD, hairdryer, toiletries, beverage tray and bottled water.
The Peaceful Retreat is set in 7 acres of tranquil and idyllic surroundings with ponds, landscaped gardens, a bamboo gazebo, spanish style summerhouse with veranda and a multitude of seating areas with interesting and far reaching views.
Situated just outside Llanfallteg in an elevated aspect overlooking the valley in which the award winning village is located, this boutique B&B lies in an unspoilt rural area surrounded by beautiful rolling hills, stunning colourful landscape and is just a short drive from the Preseli mountains and the charming market town of Narberth.
Walks from our door allow you to do a circular walk or follow the bridle path from our house to the village. From here the path continues along the River Taf. Along the way, you can call for a pint of real ale at the local pub, The Plash Inn, which features in 'The Good Beer Guide' and 'The Hidden Places of Wales'.
Enjoy a relaxed and tranquil, 'home from home' break, away from the stresses of modern life.
