We were a little dissapointed with the 'Lodge' as we thought it was a hotel looking at the picture and description of 'en suite' facilities. We did pay extra for en suite facilities,but thought we would have an en suite bathroom, not a narrow cupboard with a toilet, sink and shower. This was not described in the facilities as such. There was a bathroom available on the landing to 'share' with the other guest which was not what we felt comfortable using. Read less

The people were very friendly and we enjoyed sight seeing trips to the Giant's Causway and around Belfast City.
Dislikes:
The bed was a bit saggy (we are both quite heavy)
Sometimes it was difficult to find any staff

If you walk out of the hotel the Black Mountains are a spectacular view! The hotel had 2 large communal rooms available to watch television or films, with a book swap system available, which I used. The staff were really helpful and offered advice on the best sights to see. The breakfast was ample to fill up for a full day in Belfast. The room was lovely with big window and ceilings.
Dislikes:
There is nothing at all that was negative about the stay.

The Park View Lodge Guest House faces onto a beautiful public park named The Waterworks. In Victorian times the Gentlemen used to walk their Ladies around the Park for which they had a special key.Women were not allowed to enter the Park unaccompanied!,
There you can enjoy a walk by the lake before breakfast, feed the ducks or take an evening stroll . there is a play area for children in the park.
Ideal location for concerts at the Waterfront Hall Odyssey Arena and near to Belfast Castle (2 km) and Belfast Zoo (3 km). The Stena line and Seacat ferries are 2 km. There are local taxis from Parkview to Belfast city centre for £4. Bus fares are only £1.70 per person per journey.
In the shadow of the historic Cavehill mountain and Belfast castle, we are perfect for a city break or stop off en route to Scotland or the Giants Causeway. All rooms have a television. The highly recommended Sopranos restaurant is just a few minutes walk away.
We have 14 rooms of which 8 are en suite. All of our rates include breakfast which is served in our dining area with a view of the park opposite.
We can arrange airport pick ups and Political History Tours of Belfast. A must for those great holiday memories!
