We selected the hotel based on previous recommendations about the food - for that we were not disappointed. Management and staff were very friendly and very professional. Rooms are quite small, but comfortable, with good sized bed and good mattress. Attention to detail (example - we are accustomed all too often to tea making facilities, with 2 cheap tea bags - here there were 6 or more Twining bags). Dislikes:
Only negative point is that the bathroom is unheated. In early-March 2010, with minus temperatures outside, that was cold! Would not be a problem outside the winter season

Our large function room is situated above the bar. The privacy, high ceiling and exposed beams make it the perfect place for any large or small function. Whether you need the space for a club AGM or a 40th birthday party we can accommodate your needs. The Oak has eight delightful ensuite rooms, all of which have been finished to a very high standard.
The calming, natural tone of the decor accented with an occasional splash of colour creates a welcoming space in which to relax and unwind.
