Norton House is a grade 11 listed building dating back to the 1500s, the date ‘1716’ over the front door refers to the modern extension when it became a farm house! This was just one of its many roles in history. Carefully renovated to retain the original stone flag floors, oak beams, inglenook fireplaces, stripped pine shutters and doors, Norton House oozes old fashioned charm and character but provides all the modern comforts our guests could wish for.

We have seven and five night specials along with weekend breaks.
We have three guest bedrooms all fully en-suite, centrally heated and attractively decorated to a high standard. Fresh flowers, fresh fruit and other personal touches too numerous to list.
All have remote control colour television, tea and coffee making facilities & mineral water. You will be able to enjoy the luxury of old pine double beds, pretty patchwork quilts, crisp white cotton sheets and fluffy white towels, and fresh flowers to welcome you.
There is a lovely guest lounge, solely for the use of our guests, with roaring log fires in the winter. Here, we greet our guests when they arrive with a pot of tea or coffee and home made cakes to help them relax after their journey.
Our guests are welcome to use the lounge during the day or relax in the evening after a meal. A more recent addition is the ‘Reading Lounge’ providing our guests with a tranquil setting in which they can relax and plan their next days adventure, using our extensive range of tourist and local information, maps and guides. A laptop computer is provided, allowing access to the internet.
