Very friendly and helpful staff and very good food.
Dislikes:
We were not aware of live music on the Friday evening although to be fair, the manager put us on the 2nd floor which helped and the music finished as promised around 11pm. Some noise from the street.

We stayed overnight in the top floor suite for our anniversary. This was a very large room with comfortable bed and sofa together with en suite and had been recently refurbished to a high standard. Bit of a hike with cases/bags up to the top floor but well worth it. Very good value for money compared to similar hotels. The meal in the restaurant was excellent and we enjoyed a nightcap in the lively bar. Only downside was that the bathroom was pretty chilly as the radiator wasn't working. Read less

Lovely spacious room with character. Comfortable bed. Nice furnishings. Great meal. Lively bar with good atmosphere. Attentive friendly staff. Good breakfast. Great value for money.
Dislikes:
Very chilly bathroom as small radiator wasn't working and wind was whistling in through the sash window. Could do with more efficient radiator and possibly secondary glazing on the bathroom window.

The check in and out was easy. Staff very polite and the facility has a good bar and fod downstairs, although also Melbourne has some good restaurants. Bathrooms are simple but clean, and good beds.
