Friendly welcome, warm rooms and excellent service.
Dislikes:
A DVD player in the room would have alleviated the rainy evenings stuck indoors. Also the online photo of the guest house is misleading as the beautiful conservatory is out of bounds for guests.
Response from The Old Manse:
Thank you for your review, Simone!

Likes:
Good breakfast with open fire in the room, very quiet and good window shutters so was able to darken room for the little one to sleep
Dislikes:
Slightly misleading picture as actually situated in a cul de sac with a lot of other housing around it
Response from The Old Manse:
Thank you for your review. We're very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and hope you will make a return trip. Not quite sure how to respond about the photo but for the benefit of other readers I probably should say that we aren't actually located in a cul-de-sac, it's a regular quiet residential street with access at both ends.

Seahouses is fortunate to be so closely located to many of the wonderful attractions on the Northumberland coastline. One of the most important is the Farne Islands and, from Seahouses harbour, boats will take you out to the world renowned nature reserve, one of Europe's most important bird and sealife sanctuaries. The Old Manse is also within walking distance of Northumberland's beautiful, unspoilt beaches, miles of dramatic scenery and golden sands on our doorstep. Slightly further afield, it is a short drive to many spectacular castles such as Bamburgh, and Alnwick, with its impressive gardens and fountains. We are also close to Holy Island (Lindisfarne), the Northumberland National Park and the Cheviot Hills. Nature lovers, walkers, cyclists, golfers and sea sport enthusiasts all enjoy this area and there is no shortage of nearby attractions to suit all ages and tastes.

You'll be able to enjoy our traditional English breakfast, expertly grilled and using locally sourced produce, including the renowned 'Bamburgh Banger' from Carter's and eggs fresh from the farm close to our home. We offer a range of other breakfast items and will look after your dietary requirements by request.
