"Valentines Day Perfection."
Myself and the other half spent Valentines day in the Cardigan Room and were greeted by friendly helpful staff and wonderful service from start to finish, For what we paid it was a beautiful room with a most inviting bath :D.
Both the evening meal and breakfast were wonderfully presented and cooked and even a rather odd allergy my other half has was taken into account.
Nothing short of perfect!. Read less

A small deal making our stay cheaper.
Most impressive, the exclusion of any bacon in all meals/involved in the preparation due to my partners bacon allergy which has caused problems in the past.
Dislikes:
To have to nit pick, a blown bulb (one of three) in the toilet.
Didn’t affect the stay but the grounds of the house could be beautiful if something was done with them. (Perhaps winter had not help).

The Manor is a beautiful grade II listed historic house which has been the Smith family home for more than sixty years. The Manor has many hundreds of years of history in its walls and was listed in the doomsday book as belonging to Cudulf and it was worth £3! In 1242 there was a knight’s fee held by the Earl of Winchester however it is believed that this original Manor was rebuilt in the form of this Manor House. Indeed it has been subjected to several remodelling projects over the centuries including the most recent giving it 21st century facilities amongst its period features.
All our bedrooms, named after some of the many owners, have their own individual style, modern technology and ensuite facilities. We endeavour to use as much local seasonal produce as possible in our kitchen to give you a complete Wiltshire Country House experience. We are ideally located on the edge of the village of Shrewton just 2 miles from the world heritage site of Stonehenge and minutes from the A303 with easy access to the cities of Salisbury and Bath.
All of our 7 ensuite bedrooms offer comfort and quality whilst having an individuality of their own. They are all furnished with the antique furniture which has been in this home for years and which complements the period features to be found here.
