"Excellent staff but rooms let it down"
We only stayed one night to meet up with family and have a meal. The meal in the restaurant was excellent and we would definately eat there again however the rooms were a let down. Our room was cold the radiators were luke warm and didnt even come on in the morning. My daughters room the shower would not turn off and there are no telephones in the rooms so we had to go down to reception to report it. The staff however were excellent. Read less

Since the evening you stayed & you mentioned about the radiators, our heating engineers have come back to train staff on the new system. We now have thermostats in the corridor which control the temperature as well as the radiators. These are to be checked every morning & evening .This is not representative of our standard level of comfort & service,I'm sorry we were well below par for yourvisit

The Manor House is set in a beautiful 15th century Grade II listed building. Located in the historic market town of Dronfield, we are perfectly situated as a base to explore the Peak District. The building was sympathetically renovated and re-designed in 2009, and mixes the contemporary with the traditional to stunning effect.
There is a delightful traditional bar with original stone walls and wooden beams, where you can enjoy a glass of wine or local beer.
Each room has been individually designed and offers free wi-fi, flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Local shops, restaurants and attractions are 2 minutes walk. Free onsite parking is available for all our guests and we have a 24 hour front desk.
Ten minutes drive and you are in the magnificent Peak District with its popular nature trails, historic buildings and tourist attractions. Another five minutes and you will arrive at The Chatsworth House Estate and Gardens, one of the UK’s most famous Country Houses.
Sheffield City Centre, with all its leisure, sports and entertainment facilities is only a 15 minute drive away. Don Valley and The Sheffield Arena, is a straight 15 minute drive, closer in terms of time, than many of the Sheffield centre hotels.
For the serious shopper, Meadowhall, one of Europe’s largest retail parks, is the same distance. The historic town of Chesterfield is 10 minutes drive in the opposite direction. Its' busy shops and markets are situated within the shadow of its famous crooked spire.
Dronfield station is 2 minutes walk with regular services to Sheffield and Chesterfield. Taxis are £20 for a return trip.
