Maes yr Haf is an excellent place to stay with the added benefit of good quality food in peaceful surroundings. The atmosphere was relaxing and the perfect place for a leisurely overnight break that made you feel you were away from home longer than you actually were. We were very impressed with our stay and will definitely pay another visit. Read less

Maes-Yr-Haf has a fine selection of ensuite rooms luxuriously furnished for your comfort and relaxation. Each room features a unique design created by Hannah Davies of Salt Design.

The rooms have both cable and WiFi connection, Ipod docking station/radio and a Playstation 2 which doubles as a DVD player for the large flat-screen HDTV’s. In addition to full room service, each room has its own tea and coffee making facilities if preferred.

The Gower was the first area to receive protected status and is currently celebrating its 50th year as an area of protected natural beauty. Three Cliffs Bay was voted as the best beach in the UK by the BBC and ITV nominated the area as providing the second best view in the UK.

The restaurant is an individual design with extensive use of rosewood and sapele creating a warm and inviting, but also luxurious dining experience complemented by the attentive but discreet service and select wines and spirits lists. Our restaurant’s emphasis is on the use of the best quality, fresh produce ranging from local meats, fish and vegetables. Almost everything served is made in our kitchen, including home-made bread pasta and pastries. The kitchen is under the direction of Head chef Christos Georgakis, who worked in the award winning Angel in Salem, near Llandeilo.

Have a pre-dining drink in our cosy bar whilst choosing from that day’s menu. Each day will find something special in addition to that season’s favourites. Don’t overlook our extensive digestif list which you are offered when choosing your dessert, which offers a wide selection culminating in our signature cognac the legendary Richard Hennessy. Alternatively try a Hennessy flight which features a tasting of Hennessy XO, Paradis, and the Richard Hennessy. For special dietary tastes, our chefs will prepare you an individual meal.
