"Thoroughly unpleasant from start to finish"
When we arrived at the hotel, the hotelier was very unpleasant and made us feel more like a nuisance than paying guests. Our room was an a adequate size but very old-fashioned and smelt fusty and felt grubby. The bathroom had a bath with a dirty rubber shower hand-held shower hose and a wet carpet which smelt horrible. The 'full english breakfast' was very meager. We were so glad we had only booked to stay one night - we couldn't wait to leave and return home! Read less

Most things - particularly the wet carpet in the bathroom, the very thin walls between rooms, lack of cleanliness and poor service.
