"Excellent accommodation helped to make it a thoroughly enjoyable short break holiday."
We arrived at 10.00 pm and were shown to our room and made very welcome. The room was clean, tidy and quiet with everything we needed. The breakfast was an excellent start to the day with a tasty full Scottish or scrambled eggs plus the usual cereals and toast. We had a day exploring Ayr and the Burns Museum and Cottage at Alloway. After a meal in Ayr in the evening we returned to the Guest House for a second comfortable night before catching the train home in the morning. Read less

Leslie Ann Guest House is situated close to Ayr town centre and railway station with links to Prestwick Airport (5 miles) and Glasgow Airport (30 miles).

Ayr is situated on the Firth of Clyde and is the largest of the Clyde coastal towns, surrounded by tranquil countryside with a scenic coastline. This is an ideal location to play on some of the finest championship golf courses in the UK, such as Turnberry or Royal Troon. Why not take a leisurely stroll around one of the beautiful kept parks and gardens, which include Belleisle, Rozelle and Craigie or an exhilarating walk along the seafront promenade.

Scotland's premier horse racing track, Ayr Racecourse, is based in Ayr and offers more racing days than any other Scottish course including the Scottish Grand National and Ayr Gold Cup.

Scotland's National Bard, Robert Burns, was born in Alloway, on the outskirts of Ayr. A visit to the Burns National Heritage Park is a must to see the poet's birthplace, Burns Cottage, the Burns Monument, Brig O'Doon and Alloway Kirk. Work is underway on the new Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, scheduled to open in 2010.

Situated on the beautiful Clyde Coast, Ayrshire & Arran has it all and more. Beautiful scenery, fascinating history, outdoor activities, some of the finest golf courses in the world, superior accommodation and gourmet dining. Ancient castles, stunning country parks and gardens, bustling market towns and captivating visitor attractions are all on offer.

The Isle of Arran has the best of what the rest of Scotland has to offer. A beautiful coastline with pretty villages is complemented by a rugged and mountainous interior in the north and green rolling hills and woodland in the south.
