We are closing for refurbishment from the 4th January 2010 until the 5th April 2010. We are improving for your comfort and do hope that you will return to stay with us again, or choose us for a first time visit. We thank you for your understanding in this matter and look forward to welcoming you to a new and improved Lemon Tree. Kindest Regards Colette and Carmine
The contemporary style and authentic flavours of its Italian restaurant recreate a host of Mediterranean memories... Carmine and Colette de Pasquale offer a wonderful blend of home-cooked Italian food, comfortable accommodation and warm hospitality. Wine selection at the Lemon Tree is made easy and fun by choosing your own from the racks and display fridges in our 'Wine Shop'.

We have fourteen comfortable bedrooms at very competitive rates. Each room is ensuite and has a television.

Our “neo-gothic” style building on Rhosddu Road has a long history. It was designed by a local Wrexham architect, James Reynolds Gummow, built as a private residence in 1865 and named “Abbotsfield”. Gummow was responsible for many of the Victorian villas in the area. At some stage it became the Denbighshire and Clwyd Area Education Office. During the war years, one wing was given over to “The Abbotsfield Priory War Nursery”.

In 1982 it opened as an hotel, retaining both the Abbotsfield Priory name and many of the features from the original building. It also had a spell as the “Graffiti Italiano”, before its current transformation by new owners into The Lemon Tree.

Our central location makes it easy for business in the town and for exploring the local sights. There is plenty to see and do in the area. Culturally, we are well placed for the County Museum where you can view the prehistoric remains of Wrexham’s own “Brymbo Man”.

Nearby Llangollen, which is world famous for its Eisteddfod, also holds jazz and food festivals. Chirk and Holt each has a castle to explore while Offa’s Dyke is of notable historic importance. Chester is in easy reach for sightseeing, shopping and the Races, which are also held even closer to hand at Bangor-on-Dee.
