The Kings Arms Hotel was constructed in the early 17th Century and was visited by many famous people, including Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1745, Robbie Burns and Sir Walter Scott in 1813. Thankfully, the hotel has been completely refurbished since those days!

We have retained many traditional features including cosy log fires (during winter months) and have succumbed to central heating, constant hot water, breakfast in bed and many more modern comforts that we enjoy so much.
The Hotel has catered for weary travellers since the times when horse drawn coaches would pass through the wide passageway to the stable beyond (the undercover parking area today)

The original beamed buildings and tack room are now the comfortable Lounge Bar and The Restaurant where today's guests can enjoy tasty Bar meals beside blazing logs fires.

Meeting rooms are available for parties from 10 to 120 persons. The Sir Walter Scott Suite caters for functions and weddings for up to 120 persons and complete bridal packages are available. The hotel is fully centrally heated, our comfortable en-suite bedrooms offer tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephones and flat screen digital televisions.

Lockerbie is an ideal holiday base as it is central for many interesting places to visit and pursuits to follow. We are surrounded by golf courses at Dumfries, Moffat, Powfoot and of course Lockerbie all of which will test your skills.

Fishing is plentiful at Castle Loch, Lochmaben or on the rivers Annan, Dryfe, Esk or Milk. If you wish to tour at a leisurely pace, a visit to Drumlanrig and Caerlaverock Castles, Traquair House and Sweetheart Abbey is a must. For Robert Burns fans, Dumfries is the place for you with his cottage and the museum. All of this, and we are only a half mile from the M74 with speedy access to Glasgow 72 miles, Edinburgh 72 miles and The Lakes 50 miles.
