Nice welcome. Staff polite and ettentive. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Hotel remote, but in a beautiful area.
Dislikes:
The room was cold on arrival, and took a long time to warm up. The bathroom could do with being modernised.

The Inn at Hawnby offers excellent accommodation, offering nine bedrooms, six in the main hotel and three in the recently converted stables. The accommodation is combined with an award winning restaurant which serves high quality, freshly prepared meals on a daily basis. The restaurant commands stunning views over our gardens and the surrounding countryside. Our chefs use local produce wherever possible to create seasonal menus for you to savour.
Located in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, The Inn at Hawnby is your perfect base from which to explore this stunning area. Extensive hiking trails and cycling routes are available right from our door, allowing easy access to the beautiful surrounds. There are marked mountain bike (MTB) trails in Boltby Forest.
Nearby, the historical ruins of the abbeys of Rievaulx, Byland, Fountains and Jervaulx await your visit. Ampleforth College and Abbey is 10 miles away, while the historic city of York with its Minster Cathedral and National Railway Museum is only a short drive away. Studley Royal Estate, Castle Howard stately home and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway are all nearby.
