Built in 1745 and originally named "Mount Amelia". Ingoldisthorpe Hall was once a substantial North Norfolk country house and estate. Still set in thirty acres of private grounds and parkland, it offers exceptional views across the Norfolk coast and is just one of a few Grade II* listed Country Houses in England. Ingoldisthorpe Hall is ideal for large groups and offers luxury self-catering holiday accommodation. At certain times, through out the year, we open our doors to B&B enabling couples, families or friends to enjoy the wonderful rooms within. Full English breakfast is included in our B&B prices and we have a wide variety of room types.
The Mount Amelia estate comprises of Ingoldisthorpe Hall as well as a number of well-appointed self-catering holiday cottages within the grounds. These can be hired along side the Hall allowing a wonderful get together of up to 30 people. We are ideally positioned on the beautiful and undulating North Norfolk coast. Mount Amelia lies on the boundary of the Royal Estate at Sandringham, just one of the amazing country houses to visit in the area. Mount Amelia is within easy reach of the coast with beaches at Hunstanton, Brancaster and Holkham. The market towns of Fakenham, Swaffham and Kings Lynn, as well as, the idyllic Norfolk villages of Snettisham, Burnham Market and Holt nearby.
Ingoldisthorpe Hall is ideally suited to large groups and can comfortably sleep up to fifteen people. The Hall and cottage are available to rent for holidays, weekends and one off events - making it a home from home for family gatherings, birthday parties, reunions or simply a relaxing holiday away. Several times a year we hire out the whole estate and have the most beautiful wedding receptions within the Hall and its grounds. Many of our large groups have special requirements and we are always happy to arrange a chef, a house-keeper, a driver or any other staff for your stay. Please enquire when booking.
