The apartment was very clean and the bed was very comfortable- and I am very fussy about beds!! Lovely white duvet and big white fluffy towels.The owner was very friendly and helpful. Would stay again
Dislikes:
I didn't realise the apartment would not be serviced but when I asked the owner if he could supply a vaccuum cleaner, he cleaned the apartment and put fresh towels in.

Very well equiped and clean, comfortable beds and pleasant furnishings. Steep staircases helped to burn off the excesses. Lovely views from bedrooms, and quiet outdoor patio area.(needs a tidy)
Dislikes:
No hairdryer avail, sharp edge to broken shower tray,never managed to get hot water,so we had luke warm showers. No dishcloth and one dw tab!, Three girls in the party and we just made the best of it

THE HELAINA LUXURY APARTMENTS are an ideal retreat if you seek modern, stylish, high quality accommodation. They are in a stunning, quiet location at the top of the North Bay close to Scarborough Castle and over looking the Beach. The town centre, harbour, amusements and numerous places to eat are only 5 minutes walk away and the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors can been seen in the distance. Both apartments were fully refurbished in 2009 to a high standard, including new kitchens and bathrooms and they have large lounges with 42" Digtal Flat screen TV's. We provide high quality linen and the Master bedrooms have pocket sprung kingsize beds to ensure maximum comfort . The luxury one bedroom sea view apartment has ground floor access so no stairs. Both apartments are ideal for families or couples. The apartments have the added benefit of a B&B option so guests can enjoy the great breakfast served at 'The Helaina', our 5 Star Award Winning Guest House next door (subject to openning times and capacity).
LIGHTHOUSE HOLIDAY COTTAGE is an exquisite 18th Century Fisherman's Cottage situated in the heart of Scarborough. The substantial property accommodates up to 8 guests and has 3 bedrooms. Peacefully located on a quiet street in Scarboroughs historic Old Town, the cottage is very close to Scarborough Castle and has stunning views over the Harbour and the South Bay. It is equipped and furnished to a high standard throughout and blends modern comfort and decor with heritage and features including an inglenook fireplace, other feature fire places and steep winding stairs. The cottage is 2 minutes from the beach and quayside, 5 minutes from a huge choice of pubs, restaurants and amusements and the town centre. In 2007 it was 'Highly Commended' at the Yorkshire Coast and Moors Awards.
