We stayed in 'The Pantry' which was a self contained room that was lovely as we could come and go as we pleased.

Many footpaths in attractive countryside with wonderful sunsets. The village pub (just 5 minutes walk) serves excellent food and the natives are very friendly! We recommend reserving a table in advance. There are other good pubs and restaurants within easy driving distance.
We are ideally situated for Cambridge, Duxford Air Museum. High tec. establishments of Welcome Trust Genome Campus, Melbourn Science Park, and Granta Park, Abington are nearby, and Stansted Airport is 30 minutes away.
Wimpole Hall and farm, and Audley End House, together with the old market town of Saffron Walden are delightful places to visit.
