The Ferry House Inn is a beautiful 16th Century Country Public House situated at the edge of the Swale Estuary on the peaceful Isle of Sheppey. Outside it is set in three acres of terraced lawns and offers a superb panoramic view over the water, and inside offers open log fires, traditional wooden beams and solid oak floors.
Please note that we can welcome guest check-ins from 6pm - 9pm. We are also unable to accept children in all of our rooms regardless of age.

Had four poster room as this is where we stayed after our wedding 18 months ago at the Ferryhouse. The staff are very friendly and welcoming which is why we continue to return. Lovely log burners welcome you from the cold weather and enable a warm view of the beautiful surroundings in their winter glory. We had a lovely meal with friends and decided to stay as it was a better value for money than staying at a chain hotel and the breakfast and room were of high quality. Read less

The Inn has three double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, all beautifully furnished with en-suite facilities and offering visitors all the comfort needed for a perfect nights sleep. Beautifully furnished rooms with good quality beds, come as standard and in June 2008 we recieved the 4 Star 'Silver Award' for excellence from Visit Britain.
Our rooms are furnished individually to the very highest standard, to provide our guests with a supreme level of comfort. Whether you're here to simply relax and unwind in the tranquil and idyllic surroundings or sampling the wide variety of local activities and interests, it is reassuring to know that when you retire to your room you are greeted with a lovely homely atmosphere. A full 'Harty' breakfast awaits you in the morning, complete with homemade 'Harty' sausages.
The Inn prides itself on home cooking from locally sourced fresh produce, which is reflected in the quality and presentation of all its meals, with game provided from the local shoot, quality meats from our own farm, & fresh fish from ‘Bluey’ our local fisherman whose boat is moored just out from the Inn.
Please note, we do host a variety of functions throughout the year, if you are booking for a peaceful stay during summertime we recommend you contact us first and we can advise you of any functions taking place.It is not a regular occurence that guests are disturbed, and largely our functions are self contained in the restaurant area, however we prefer to advise in advance.
Please note that we can welcome guest check-ins from 6.30pm - 9.45pm. Unfortunately we are unable to accept children under 12.
