Likes:
Lovely location. Food very good. Great building. Bed comfortable.
Dislikes:
Miserable room needs much work. Nasty carpet Needs coat of paint. No shower, side of bath broken. Light bulb blown. No water for 2 hours!Apology not adequate.
Response from The Exmoor Forest Inn:
As far as we can see all lights are working, the light above the mirror has a pull cord however. The carpet is the same as the bedroom and is clean and tidy, it will be replaced at the next refurbishment with a diffent covering. The room has a bathroom not a shower room and has a shower attachment on the bath taps. I am unsure of what is meant by no water for two hours with an inadeqauete apology.

Welcome to The Exmoor Forest Inn, an Award Winning 4 Star inn set in the heart of beautiful Exmoor, one of the smallest National Parks. We are ideally situated for walking, riding, fishing, shooting or just enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We have fly fishing for wild trout & salmon on a 1 1/2 miles stretch of the River Barle. We are perfectly positioned for a first or last nights stay on the "Two Moors Walk" linking Exmoor to Dartmoor.

Exmoor covers about 265 square miles, with its long and spectacular coast line, high moor land with wild ponies and red deer, steep valley with tumbling streams and picturesque villages, all together a lovely place to be. Whilst staying with us, why not sample our award winning fresh fish, local meat and game dishes, complimented by a good selection of local real ales, fine wines and spirits. The food is all freshly cooked to order and served in one of our cosy candle lit bars or our charming dining room, the choice is yours.

Listed in the 2010 Good Pub Guide. Breakfast included. Please note: There is a two night minimum stay for all bank holiday weekends. We are a No Smoking property. Dogs allowed; may incur additional charge. Check-In time: 14:30 and Check-Out time: 10:30.
