Eim House had an excellent loaction in Bowness, Windermere and was very easy to get to the local amenities of pubs, shops, restuarants, and an amazing little independent cinema! It is also less than a 10 minute walk to Lake Windermere. We had a lovely stay, everyone was so friendly, the room was comfy, clean and warm and just what you need to relax after a day of walking. The breakfasts were generous and even though we are a young couple we were made to feel welcome. Read less

It was fantastic value for money and its easy to get as involved as you like. Really pretty and friendly place. We were also really lucky with the weather which makes a huge difference.

The Owners would like to offer you a warm welcome to Elim House, our aim is to assist in making your stay here in Bowness a most rewarding time.
Built approximately 150 years ago from traditional Lakeland stone, Elim House is ideally situated in a quiet road, perfect for a peaceful break. Whether you want an energetic walk in the surrounding hills, a gentle stroll down to the lake and shops, or a leisurely drive through spectacular scenery, Elim House is the perfect base ideally located on the very edge of Bowness town centre.
The warm and friendly welcome you will receive is complemented by individually heated and tastefully furnished rooms, all ensuite. All the rooms are equipped with colour TV's and tea & coffee making facilities. Elim House has a welcoming breakfast room where guests can choose from a comprehensive choice of menu before relaxing to enjoy Steve's superb breakfast. Vegetarians are well catered for and those with special dietary needs can also be accommodated (prior notice is requested). Catering for couples of all ages, single guests and motorcyclists all welcome at Elim House. Unfortunately, no children are allowed at Elim House.
All of our ensuite rooms have a comfortable bed, tea/coffee machine, heating, colour TV, armchairs & private shower room with WC. Steve's traditional English breakfast truly is something to behold in the morning! Fit to prepare even the most active guest for a day in the lake district countryside.
Environmental Statement
We recycle all newspapers/magazines, glass bottles, cans, cardboard and plastics. We request that guests only put their towelling for laundering when absolutely necessary and that they switch off all electrical appliances and lighting when not in use.
