The cleanliness of the whole B & B and the way we got looked after! Also the freedom to come and go as we please throughout the day and night.

As soon as we arrived we were welcomed in a friendly and comfortable manner. Finalising booking and getting the keys was really easy and done over a cup of tea. Sean and Mark (who run the hotel) were very open and helpful. They allow you to bring your own drink and takeaways if you wish. The hotel is placed as central as you could want it. Rooms are clean, warm and pleasant, little flat screen tvs in every room too with freeview. The lounge is comfortable to relax in. Breakfasts = Amazing!!! Read less

The hotel is decorated in an old fashioned, quite kitsch manner, we loved it. The breakfasts are so good too, I think Mark makes the eggs, but two of us remarked that they were the best eggs ever.
Dislikes:
It's very hard to find a dislike. We were allowed to drink our own drinks in the lounge, eat takeaways in the dining room and stay out to whenever!! It really was so comfortable and friendly.

Its central location means that Oakleigh is within walking distance of most of Blackpools attractions. These include Pleasure Beach, Sandcastle, South Pier. A longer walk or short tram ride will take you up to the otehr piers and Blackpool Tower. For all you who like to shop till you drop, you will find indoor markets and lots of shops a few minuets walk from the hotel, or a short tram/bus journey will take you to Blackpool centre where you will find high street designer stores. Oakleigh will make every effort to ensure your stay is one to remember.
