The Morefield offers value for money, motel style accommodation with facilities at ground level with accessible parking, for customers' vehicles directly outside the room. We also welcome well behaved dogs.
The aim is to provide a good night's sleep followed by a hearty Scottish breakfast to start the day, with the added extra of fine fayre; wines and whiskies for the evenings. It is known as a friendly family run fully licensed business where customers needs matter most. A high quality menu ranging from locally caught fish and seafood to succulent Scottish meats is available all year round. The staff constantly strive to create exciting and innovative food that is pleasing to the palate whilst maintaining a strong emphasis on supporting the local economy.
The good beer guide listed Morefield Motel is situated on the North side of Ullapool set in the scenic North West Highlands which provides a good base for touring or pursuing activities.
Ullapool boasts a variety of things to do in the local area. There are many country pursuits that can be arranged in advance including hill and mountain walking, golf, fishing and game shooting. The Morefield is fully compliant with the local constabulary in respect of gun safe, gun dogs are also allowed. The Morefield is home to the beer festival that takes place in Ullapool during October each year where a range of Scottish real ales are on offer. A proactive commitment to reduce the carbon footprint of the business is in place.
Environmental Statement
Where feasible the Morefield operates in an environmentally friendly manner, this entails the use of low energy light bulbs, collection of rain water for use in the garden, Laundry agreement with guests, the use of local producers and products in order to minimise transportation therefore reducing our carbon footprint, glass, steel, aluminium, paper and cardboard recycling facilities on site.
