Ullapool boasts a variety of things to do in the local area. There are many country pursuits that can be arranged in advance including hill and mountain walking, golf, fishing and game shooting. The Morefield is fully compliant with the local constabulary in respect of gun safe, gun dogs are also allowed. The Morefield is home to the beer festival that takes place in Ullapool during October each year where a range of Scottish real ales are on offer. Where feasible the Morefield operates in an environmentally friendly manner, this entails the use of low energy light bulbs, collection of rain water for use in the garden, Laundry agreement with guests, the use of local producers and products in order to minimise transportation therefore reducing our carbon footprint, glass, steel, aluminium, paper and cardboard recycling facilities on site.
