Inform people that all though the rooms are en-suite there was NO bath which was a shame. Suggest you don't put elderly people in room above a very noisy bar.

Mis informed about evening meals. Asked if meals could be obtained in the evening and was told yes - Was not informed that there was no evening meal on a Sunday - Very inconvenient as we would have stayed in Brighton after the show on Sunday and now journeyed back expecting to get a meal which meant we had to go out again. You are absolutely right we should have informed you about our restaurant closing at 5pm Sundays, this is something I will add to the website, which we are in the process of reviewing. We believe in honesty and I intend to change the website in march to reflect the fact some of the rooms are above our bar, thank you once again for your comments

I would recommend this hotel as the staff were very friendly, the room was clean and tidy. My only niggle was that it was a little noisy. The pub music could be heard in the room (although this went off promptly t closing time) and I could hear, loudly, all the showers being used in the morning. Breakfast was very nice and with a veggie option which I appreciated. Room had some nice touches and was clean. Read less

We pride ourselves in offering you immaculately clean, stylish and comfortable rooms, with a great value restaurant, Sunday carvery, and a superb traditional pub.
You couldn't ask for a better location. We are only 2.5 miles from Brighton town centre - the bus stops just outside the hotel - and we are only 2 miles to the beach. We are within easy reach of the Royal Pavilion, Brighton Pier, Sea Life Centre and, being located on the South Downs, also makes the location ideal for walking & cycling.
The hotel is also near to the University, Nuffield Hospital and Brighton Racecourse.
The superb traditional pub has a beer garden, and also offers weekend live entertainment. We have ample free parking. A full English Breakfast is included.
