The Clifton is in an ideal level location, only yards from the seafront, shops, rail and coach stations, in fact so close you may never need the car while you are here. The South West Coastal Path runs by the end of the road, and many people choose to make this their start of finish point because of our location so close to the station. Places within easy reach are Dartmouth, by steam train, Totnes, Plymouth, Exeter, Teignmouth, Dartmoor and many National Trust properties.

Our special dinner, bed and breakfast breaks run from 8th April to 6th June, and then start again on September 10th to our closing date at the end of September.
The Clifton is a close level walk to the seafront, stations and all amenities. All rooms en-suite or with private facilities, all with flat screen multi chanel TV, beverages, hair dryer and wifi. Special diets catered for - vegetarians most welcome. Family rooms - cot and high chairs available Close to and completely level to sea front, shops, attractions & stations.
We have parking for 5 card, often enough, as we're so close to the stations that many guests choose this means of transport. There's a bar and lounge for relaxing, and we offer B & B or half board. Great value spring and autumn breaks. We hold the Welcome Host Award and many years ago received the Riviera Commitment to Quality Award, which aim we strive to maintain.
Our catering is based on a 'home cooked' international menu using the very best of fresh local produce. We serve you a full English Breakfast of your choice, after you've helped yourselves to the buffet starters. Packed lunches are available for a day out. A choice of menu is offered for evening meal together with a choice of wines. Special diets catered for and vegetarians most welcome.
Paignton itself is set in the heart of the famous English Riviera bordered by the splendid resort of Torquay to the East and historic Brixham to the West. Surrounded by fabulous South Devon Scenery and Torbay's famous beaches with scores of attractions and places of interest. The Clifton enjoys a completely on level location only yards from the seafront, shops, rail and coach stations, in fact so close you may never need the car while you are here. The public transport system is excellent.
