We had a great long weekend exploring coves, beaches and headlands between St Ives and The Lizard in Cornwall. We thought it might be cold at night in the campervan in February, but it was fine with good sleeping bags, and beaches were less crowded than it would be in summer. Not a lot of tourist stuff is open eg surf board hire, but we spent our time driving, reading, walking, eating out, cream teas, watching seals, taking photos, and drinking the local beer and cider. Did you always want your own classic VW camper van, but life got in the way? Maybe like many things, the time was never quite right and before you knew it there were more important things to spend your money on such as mortgages, bills etc etc.
Maybe now's the time to snatch back a little bit of that long lost dream, by hiring a campervan and taking the slow lane for a classic adventure all of your very own. Plan that road trip you always said you'd do, throw your flip flops in the boot, chuck the kids in the back and hit the road jack!
Being perfectly based for discovering Devon and Cornwall and with prices starting at just £70 per night, it's easy to put your life on hold for a while and really get away from it all.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a minimum of hire of 2 nights. Pick up is from 14:00 to 17:00. Late Pick Up by Arrangement. Camper vans to be returned by 10 am on day of return. The campervans are no smoking inside. Pets can be accommodated for a supplement. Hire price includes full insurance for main driver. Additional drivers charged at £4.00 per day/part day.
