I have taken a sailing team to stay at the Avalon on two occasions and we have been well received and despite having to leave early on the Saturday morning a cereal breakfast has been left out for us. The rooms whilst small are clean and have comfortable beds and all have TVs. We all had a good nights sleep and will stay there again for the next race of our regatta series. Dislikes:
Would have preferred a full breakfast but as we were leaving at 07:30 on Saturday mornings this was not possible Breakfast starts at the weekend at 08:30 (07:30 during the week)

Thankyou for your comments which are extremely helpful to us and for bringing the problem with the ensuite sliding door to our attention we were not aware that this problem had occurred during our recent refurbishment and have rectified. Before carrying our our refurbishment we carried out a survey of guests asking for suggestions one of which was to create more light in the rooms.We therefore purchased lighter weight curtains achieve this, we apologise that this was not to your personal taste.

Great for families plenty to see and do locally!! We have rooms to suit all, budget to en-suite. All rooms are well equipped with colour tv, hairdryer, complimentary beverage tray and free internet access and enjoy your breakfast in our comfortable dinning rooms with views across Plymouth Hoe.
There is plenty of on road parking available and we can provide you with a permit for a nominal charge.
