The hotel is lovely with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It is in an excellent location next to the town of Blaigowrie. There are many local attractions and activities nearby and the hotel is ideally situated. The hotel staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our stay was brief but the staff at the hotel made it a relaxing break. Our room was very spacious and had all the amenities that you require. Altamount House Hotel in Blargowrie is beautifully situated in 7 acres of well laid out gardens and mature woodlands yet only 500 yards from the centre of town. The impressive Georgian mansion was built in 1804 and maintains many original features.
The hotel has been awarded 3 stars from the Scottish tourist board for its high standards and has an excellent reputation for quality cuisine. All rooms are individual, comfortable and ensuite. Each room is equipped with a trouser press, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and mineral water are standard.
