The food and comfy warm beds
Dislikes:
My only critism was that the shower was a bit intermittant, ie too hot or too cold.

We had our wedding reception here 3 years ago and everything was fantastic. This time, when we walked into the booked Blue room the bathroom wasn't clean, dresser and bedding wasn't clean. We got "downgraded" to the red room as that was cleaner - mugs and spoons were still dirty. Also the diner, bed and breakfast deal wasn't a deal but worked out more expensive. I wanted choices from the main menu but that wasn't the case but had to be chosen from the cheaper "offer" menu. Read less

The food is absolutely gorgeous. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Dislikes:
The disappointment of cleanliness now in the rooms - don't appear to be cleaned properly at all due to a variety of dirtyness found in 2 rooms.

Food superb, Beer and wine fantastic, room lovely but.
The room was freezing when I arrived. Dont show someone to their room and then put the heating on, have it warm when folk arrive. No Tea in the bed room just loads of fruity rubbish? Details. If you are going to refill ketchup clean the bottle tops. Really lovely just details. Read less

Welcome to The Queen’s Head. This contemporary restaurant with rooms is set in the pretty village of Belton, Leicestershire close to East Midlands Airport, Ashby de la Zouch, Loughborough and conveinient for exploring the counties of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
We have much to be proud of in our restaurant, bar and hotel. I am proud that here at the Queen’s Head we use the finest of ingredients and products both in our bar and restaurant. Where possible we source locally and sustainably. Our aim is to make your stay as pleasurable as possible so if there is anything you require during your stay, please do not hesitate to ask me or a member of the team.
At the bar sink into a comfortable leather sofa and sample one of our range of real ales from the local area, the Queen’s Special, brewed for us at the Belvoir Brewery, is a must try!! Look out for our special event flyers. Our regular events include wine and food evenings, Lobster night and the legendry “Pudding Club.”
The staff here at the Queen’s Head have been rewarded with many accolades recently, namely Silver in the “East Midlands Tourism Awards, Best Pub” category and two AA rosettes for our food. The Queen’s Head has been trading as a village pub since the early 1800’s. The Queen’s has seen many owners, guests and events.
The present proprietors of Maverick Hotels and Inns Ltd brought their local pub in December 2003. After an extensive refurbishment, the Queen’s Head reopened as a gastro-pub in May 2004. All of our bedrooms are individually decorated to a high standard.
I look forward to welcoming you, I wish you a pleasant stay and do hope you will join us again soon! Liam Paul Mahoney, General Manager
