A last minute booking turned out to be an excellent choice. The owners are very friendly and helpful, for example by giving good advice on nearby restaurants. They changed my room when a better one became available: it was quiet and very comfortable with good facilities. Breakfast set me up for the day. It is run as if it's a family home: not posh or luxurious so it was easy to relax. It was much more than adequate for my stay and I'd be more than happy to stay there again. Read less

The friendliness of the owners and comfortable beds. Boscombe was a very pleasant surprise, making up for not being near central Bournemouth.
Dislikes:
It's a bit of a hike into Bournemouth and more so to Poole and beyond. But recent developments at Boscombe Beach make it an excellent centre for a beach holiday.

This is a small hotel run as a family business. It is situated about 1 mile from the centre of Bournemouth, close to the Christchurch Road, which ha a regular bus service. There are 25 steps up to the front door. The house is Victorian, and has its quota of creaking floorboards and ancient plumbing (but it works). My room was narrow, with a single bed and a wash hand basin, an easy chair and plenty of hanging and drawer space. It was comfortable and warm. There is a shared shower and toilet.Read less
