"Excellent facilities, really friendly people."
Family accommodation is two rooms, next door to each other. There is only one other room and no-one was using that so we had exclusive access to the bathroom and additional toilet. Kitchen and living/dining room are for exclusive use of guests so this is great for making picnics etc. Keynedon Barton is a working farm and you see this as you drive to the property. Read less

Incredibly good facilities for B&B accommodation. Effectively we had use of a 2 bedroomed duplex flat which can be booked on a per night basis.

Come and stay at Keynedon Barton, a traditional family farm set in a sheltered valley, close to the sea. The farmhouse has a traditional and relaxed feel, we are child friendly and a great place for a family holiday.

The farm is recorded in the Domesday book, and has been a working farm for over 1,000 years. Today we farm beef cattle, sheep and grow crops. The farmhouse itself dates back to the early 13th century and many original features can still be seen in the house, such as the wood pannelling that is fitted floor to ceiling in the breakfast room. The bed and breakfast accomodation comprises of 2 bedrooms; a double bedroom and a childrens bunk bedroom. In the breakfast room there is also a TV, games and a comfy sofa.

A delicious breakfast using local produce and free range eggs will set you ready for a day out exploring the South Hams. There is plenty to see and do around the area, we are just a short distance from a selection of beaches and some spectacular coastal scenery. The South West coastal path can be reached from Torcross and Bessands. Pick up and drop off can be arranged.

There is a market in Kingsbridge every week, and the Farmers Market is once a month. The Rivermaid sails from Kingsbridge to Salcombe and back, along the estuary passages (during May - Sept) and makes for a great day out. The farmhouse is just a few minutes walk from Frogmore Creek, the local bakery and village pub The Globe Inn, which is great for an evening meal.
