Very Friendly hosts lovely location,
Dislikes:
My only quibble was that in winter room was not warm, fine for a man but perhaps not for a woman, would go again but in spring not winter. Single glazed leaded lights are lovely but chilly.

From the moment you enter you feel the friendly atmosphere. It might be the winter log fires or the big sofa. It could be the anticipation of good food. Probably it’s the lively welcome from the proprietors. The Inn’s time-honoured background has for centuries invited conversation and conviviality.
The quaintness dates from 1329 when stonemasons built it to house them while they built St Mary’s church alongside. They needed comfortable accommodation, good food and fine ales. Today, the Church House Inn's reputation for good food, selected wines and fine local ales attracts visitors from all over the world. Walkers on the famous 2 Moors Way recognise the Church House Inn as a routine watering hole and regular stop for them.
As you would expect in an Inn of this history we provide delightful, comfortable bedrooms. All the rooms are spacious, en-suite and are complete with tea and coffee making facilities and colour TV. Wi-Fi available – just ask for details.
This quintessential Inn, the Church House, offers a regular lunchtime menu and a different dinner menu. We are very proud of the fact that we make and cook everything ourselves. Big flavours and hearty meals. The chef provides daily, a selection of interesting and mouth-watering specials. Whether you just fancy a baguette or a more substantial meal it is all here for visitors. We guarantee that if it is just a baguette you will want to return for a full lunch or dinner.
