"Overnight stay to attend the Bonfire Celebrations in Lewes"
I wished to attend the Bonfire Celebrations in Lewes and booked The Bull on the internet. I asked about the event and where I could kennel my dog and got very helpful replies from Ed who gave me details about the event and how to get to-and-from it. He also allocated a dog-friendly room to me so that I wouldn't have to kennel Mr Nfty. My stay was GREAT! I'll be coming to see the Bonfire events and stay at The Bull again next year and tell everybody about the fantastic accommodation there. Read less
Likes:
Everything! Pub: very cosy & welcoming with snug and roaring open fire. Restaurant: neat and well set-out with clean and modern crockery, cutlery and glassware. Room: immaculate with comfortable bed.
Dislikes:
No arrival information about parking and breakfast. Adjacent residents' parking exists but I'd unloaded all my stuff from the front car park before I found out & no idea where to go for breakfast.

"Friendly welcome, shame about the room!"
My husband and i stayed for 1 night to attend a wedding reception nearby. When we arrived (4pm) they couldnt make us a sandwich as food had stopped. Our room had not been aired or the heating turned on, we turned the thermostat up as it was very cold,it turned out that the radiator in the bathroom was not working and was freezing in there. We also only had 1 bath towel between us. There was no dressing table or surface to put down a hairbrush. The room was totaly overpriced for its facilities. Read less

To the rear of the pub is a secluded courtyard to sit out in on lovely summer evenings. In the winter log fires create an inviting atmosphere.

We have 8 B&B rooms, all with private en-suite bathrooms and Coffee & Tea making facilities. We also provide a fantastic home cooked Breakfast to set you up for the day. We are in the process of updating our rooms and making our standards even higher. The size and the cost of the rooms vary but prizes start from £60 upwards.

Situated right on the Green in the East Sussex village of Newick, you can enjoy a light snack or a celebration dinner in the restaurant or even make a weekend of it with our lovely Bed and Breakfast accommodation. The pub was the stopping place for Pilgrims in 1510 travelling between Winchester and Canterbury.

The Bull on the Green is situated in the centre of Newick village and is near the South Downs, 20 minutes from Brighton and 10 minutes from Lewes. It is also a short distance from Plumpton Racecourse and Glyndebourne Opera House.
