Our stay was excellent we opted for an upgrade and found ourselfs in a lovely room, which was very large, clean and very well furnished. The staff were great and always willing to assist. The food was good with choices at both breakfast and Dinner. With evening entertainment on 5 of the 6 nights, and the option to use the quiet lounge at any time. This was our first visit to the Anchorage we will certainly be going there again. Read less

The facilities were just what we needed, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Dislikes:
We stayed at the same time as a large coach party and those guests tended to stare when we entered the dining room. Not the hotels fault but it was quite disconcerting.

Whether it be for a short break, longer stay or for one of our very popular festive breaks.
All our rooms are comfortably furnished and we are constantly upgrading the hotel, with the comfort of our guests in mind. Nothing is too much trouble, the care of our guests is our top priority.
We are wheelchair friendly and quite a number of our rooms have facilities for the disabled. The hotel is situated on the level with ample car parking facilities. Special tariff rates are available for members of Moose International and Probus.
Settled in the peaceful Cary Park, the Anchorage is ideally situated for visiting the many delights of Torbay and the Devonshire countryside.
Just a short bus ride away is the bustle of Torquay with its shopping centre, lively harbour, theatre and beaches. You can relax in the sun or stroll along the promenade and take in the fantastic views of Torbay.
Some of the best beaches in England are to be found in and around the Bay and everyone of them has safe swimming. There are water sports of some kind available from most of them.
