In room 2 you can hear the noise from the bar below which is a little annoying, also it is beside the restraunt so you can hear the tables getting moved but this dosent happen often.

"Bad room, good hotel?"
On the surface Blackmores is great, especially the staff, bar area & restaurant areas. Our room was a let down compared to the description and pictures. We had room #11 in the annex which may have made the difference. Lots of natural light? Hardly any, one small window looking straight onto a brick wall. The toilet/shower had a pump that was unbelievably noisy - I kept worrying I'd wake others up! And the double mattress was a thin layer of foam over 2 singles - not firm at all. Read less

On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who immediately made us feel welcome. Our room was in the building adjacent to the hotel(15),the bed was the biggest and I would say just about the most comfortable we have slept in.The staff were especially helpful and their local knowledge and information was spot on.We ate in the restaurant on the saturday evening and enjoyed a fantastic meal. The breakfast each morning was delicious and set us up for the day enjoying the picturesque surroundings Read less
