The Windmill Bed and Breakfast, located in a quiet cul-de-sac, is an 18th Century converted windmill just a five minutes' walk from the town centre, station and Stephen Joseph Theatre. We have nine en-suite courtyard rooms with a mix of double, family, twin and four-poster rooms at varying prices. All our rooms have hospitality trays, LCD TVs with Freeview and central heating. We also have two Suites in The Windmill itself and free parking in our courtyard.

Breakfast was yummy! The location of the bed and breakfast was fantastic, being only a few minutes' walk from the main shopping area. The room was perfectly adequate for our needs other than the lack of a proper shower. In the room there was a comprehensive list of local restaurants with recommendations. We found this very useful and enjoyed a lovely meal at Giannis because of it. The breakfast was great. Read less

Dislikes:
Shame there was not a shower curtain and hook to hang the hand shower. Lots of signs around the room to remind guests of rules.

The Windmill feature of the the B&B, the welcome and breakfast, and of course its location.
Dislikes:
Although the heating was on, the room (and en-suite, especially)wasn't warm enough. Also, there was no shower head rest nor shower curtains so difficult to take a shower without making a mess.

The Windmill is a Grade II listed building and the last remaining Windmill in Scarborough. Restored and renovated over a number of years, The Windmill has nine ensuite courtyard rooms with a mix of standard twin/double, a four-poster family room, premier four-posters with either a bath or walk-in shower and a deluxe four-poster room. We are a non-smoking establishment throughout and all our rooms have hospitality trays, LCD TVs with Freeview and central heating.
For something completely different, we also have a Family Suite and a Balcony Suite in The Windmill tower.
There is parking in the courtyard and when that is full there is parking in Mill Street via a permit which we provide free of charge.
A hearty breakfast is taken in the dining room on the ground floor of The Windmill, where you can select from a number of vegetarian options, a full English or Yorkshire Oak Smoked Kippers. Whilst enjoying breakfast, you will also be able to view our vast collection of toys displayed in cases around the room and arranged on the beams in the dining room, dating from the 1960s onwards.
Situated at the end of a quiet cul de sac and just a 5 minute walk from the shops in the town centre, the station, the Stephen Joseph Theatre and numerous restaurants, it is an ideal location to explore the coast and surrounding areas.
The Windmill is a special and unusual place to stay and gives you easy access to all that Scarborough has to offer, from the theatre to the coast and we offer discounts for a three night or more stay.
Our rates include breakfast and are inclusive of VAT. We are a non-smoking establishment throughout and regrettably do not accept pets.
