"Great relaxing stay in lovely house and good location to explore East Coast"
The hotel is octagonal in shape which gives great views whereever you are in the building. The hosts, Sue and Tony, were extremely friendly and if there was anything I needed they were only too happy to oblige, including vegetarian diet. I loved the fact they were very pet friendly - I took my little dog who did not prove popular with the three resident cats, but we got along OK. Burniston is very nice with all local amenities and a good base being only 3 miles from Scarborough. Read less
Likes:
The friendliness of the staff, the fact I could take my little dog and he was made as welcome as I was. The breakfast was great - four courses!
Dislikes:
The single room had its own private, but separate, toilet but there was no access to a bathroom with bath or shower. A full wash at the handbasin was OK each night but a bathroom would be better.

A unique and octagonally designed, peaceful countryside retreat, close to Scarborough offering a warm welcome and bed and breakfast with a difference. Harmony is totally non smoking and situated in tranquil extensive grounds, surrounded by beautiful 360 degree panoramic views, overlooking the National Park and sea. Our aim at Harmony is to give friendly, personal service during your visit.

We can offer attractively decorated, comfortable single, twin, double, or family rooms all with en suite facilities, television, radio alarm and complimentary tray. We have a 'premises drinks licence' and so you could relax with a drink if necessary in the guest lounge or enjoy the superb views from our spacious, wind chime decorated conservatory.

Away from the busy streets and traffic of Scarborough with ample private parking, it is an ideal base for walking, cycling or motoring with easy access to Scarborough, Whitby, the North York Moors and the dramatic North Yorkshire coastline. You can start your day with a full traditional English breakfast or a vegetarian choice and if given sufficient notice also cater for alternative diets whenever possible.

Please note, due to our elevated location we have 12 low-rise steps into the house. For your comfort and convenience do please make us aware of any special requirements you may need before arriving, and we will try our best to accommodate you. Scarborough, which is England's first holiday resort, is only 3 miles away. 10 min by car. We now offer WiFi to our guests.
