We were exhibiting at the International Conference Centre in Harrogate. Our first choice was for a B&B near or in town. However we were pleasantly surprised that the 12miles journey to Pateley Bridge wasn't that gruelling but in fact quite pleasant. Pateley Bridge is a beautiful little village. A welcome change from our daily commute to work in London. Read less

We really enjoyed our dinner at the little Japanese Restaurant run by Yoshi. We didn't imagine that we would find a Japanese Restaurant in such a small village that's out in the countryside.
Dislikes:
We were fearful of the small winding roads particularly when driving in the dark and in the rain. Some of the local drivers do drive too fast and dangerously.

The owners, Lawrence & Liz Glynn, place great emphasis on a warm welcome, good food and first class service. Their aim is to make your stay at the Roslyn House a happy one! Pateley Bridge, in the heart of Nidderdale is an ideal base for visiting the Dales and Yorkshire Moors, for touring Herriot, Emmerdale and even Bronte Country. Close by is Ripon with its famous cathedral, the spa town of Harrogate 12 miles, and just 30 miles away the city of York.
Pateley Bridge is an all year round centre for walkers, fishermen, country lovers... In fact, anyone who likes to get away for a while from the rat race to enjoy the warm, friendly atmosphere and beauty of the surrounding countryside can do it here.
Although Pateley Bridge is tucked away in the country, it is within forty minutes drive of some of the country's top theatres and concert venues. It is a place many come to because it is a convenient stop-over point on a long journey. Many, though, once they're here, stay on - and many more decide to come back and explore the full range of facilities and opportunities the area offers.
