IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: We are a wedding venue and throughout the months from April to September, especially on Saturday's there may be music in the hotel up until midnight and there will be no restaurant facilities if we are hosting a wedding reception. Please telephone to check dates, but an e-mail will be sent to you if you book a room with us and there are any functions being held at the hotel. This typical country hotel, reputed to be built during the late 16th century, offers superb first class accommodation, with thirteen well appointed bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities. All bedrooms have tea/coffee making facilities, colour television with radio, hair dryer and trouser press. Free Internet access is available to all rooms.
The spacious rooms are fully centrally heated and furnished to a very high standard with views overlooking open countryside. Our luxury suite complete with jacuzzi, has a wonderful four poster bed ideal for honeymoons, or that special weekend break.
The restaurant is managed by the "twins", Nick & Paul, who were both classically trained in England and spent their formative years separately working in some of the best 5 star restaurants in England and Europe. The coming together of the twins' individual talents and knowledge bases has made Shaw’s restaurant the success that it is today. Special attention is always given to using the very best locally produced seasonal fruit & vegetables and prime cuts of meat from the most reputable of butchers.
This coupled with the highest standards of preparation and service creates a most pleasurable experience every time.
