Room was all that could be expected for a 2* hotel. Lounge and bar are comfortable. Good english breakfast included in tariff. I would say it is good value for money. Read less

If I really wanted to find fault, I would say the ensuite facilities were too small, the internet connection via phone is outdated; should be wifi broadband, and there was no satellite TV.

This hotel is in a great location near the lake lots to do and great walking. The hotel itself is in need of some major updating and the bathroom in Room 1 was like going into a cupboard very small and not very good ventilation - a bit smelly - bedroom decoration 80's style - polyester sheets and blankets that had seen better days. The Quarterdeck is an ideal place to drop anchor and discover the interesting park of Poole and the nearby beautiful beaches of sandbanks, Canford Cliffs and Shell Bay. The new forest countryside, golf courses, the holiday resort of Bournemouth and Christchurch are within easy reach and the ferry service to France and the Channel Islands are only a few minutes away.
All 15 ensuite bedrooms at the Quarterdeck have a direct dial telephone, colour television and tea & coffee courtesy tray. We have twin and double bedded rooms with some on the ground floor, a family room and a four poster. All bedrooms have either a private shower or bath ensuite.
Breakfast is served in the lovely restaurant overlooking Poole park. A traditional lunch is served on Sundays, with light evening meals available from Monday to Saturday.
Whatever the reason for your stay, we are confident you will have happy memories of the Quarterdeck and will be tempted to return again and again.
