The feeling that this was a place to relax. Relaxed breakfast after a little swim. Took my coffee in the conservatory with the view to enjoy.
Dislikes:
Leaving (and there is only Freeview-TV, but who wants to watch that much tele anyway on holiday?).
Response from Park Hill Gwesty Bryn Parc:
Thank you very much for your review.

The accomodation was ok but really did need updating. It didnt feel clean even though I am sure it was.
Response from Park Hill Gwesty Bryn Parc:
Thank you for your comments. We are very happy to advice you that 7 of our rooms have now been redecorated, with 6 of them with new carpets and up-to-date bathrooms. The cover of the swimming pool however needs to be replaced, we ordered one but the supplier went bust. The pool and sauna are however adequate, and serve their purpose: relaxation of guests 24/7, especially after a strenuous walk. We do think however, that the provided pictures (of rooms and pool) are showing our place as it is.

Pricing in comparison to full service hotel needs review
Response from Park Hill Gwesty Bryn Parc:
Thank you for your review. Though our tariffs are average for Betws-y-Coed (for all comparable guesthouses without a swimmingpool), we will compare them again and adjust when necessary. If you like the pool, we are very happy to advice you that we are by far the cheapest option, AND our pool is available 24/7.
We would like to add however, that for VERY last-minute bookings it might be an idea to give us a telephone call, as the online booking system is not always completely up-to-date.

Our home is your castle is Jaap and Ghislaine's motto. They hope you arrive as a guest and go as a friend. Their guest house Park Hill/Gwesty Bryn Parc is located in an 1869 built Victorian private house traditionally built of local stone and slate.
The house's nine double/twin rooms are equipped with all modern facilities, recently redecorated and are all en-suite.
Park Hill is licensed and a cosy bar enables you to get your breath back after climbing Snowdon or just to relax further after an unwinding day. The house is set in an acre of gardens and overlooking the beautiful village of Betws-y-Coed, Llugwy and Conwy Valleys and the surrounding mountains of Snowdonia. The best views can be enjoyed from the front facing rooms, the conservatory and from the guests' lounge.
Centrally situated in the Snowdonia National Park there is a range of interesting activities virtually on your doorstep. The village Betws-y-Coed itself is just a six minutes gentle walk away across the Conwy Valley. The network of roads (A5 and A470) in every direction quickly bring a variety of mountains, mines and museums, castles and quarries, falls and forests, all within easy reach.
Incorporated in Park Hill is an indoor heated swimming pool 30’ x 12’ x 4’6” deep, with a Jacuzzi Type Spa and a Sauna/Steam room. The water temperature is around 29 C (84 F) It is open exclusively to our resident guests, who can enjoy it free all day and night.
Please note: for the benefit of swimmers' skins and for the environment we do not use water clarifying chemicals in this pool and keep the chlorination at the legal minimum. The water therefore is not chrystal clear, but much nicer to swim in.
Park Hill also benefits from a secluded free car park, not to be seen from any public road. Walkers, climbers, mountain bikers and bikers are welcome and we provide a free shuttle service to the nearest railway station.
We hope you hearing about Park Hill and look forward to welcoming you soon
Environmental Statement
We use local produce as much as possible. We encourage guests to travel by public transport: we offer a free shuttle service to Betws-y-Coed railway/bus station. The maintenance of the garden is done without the use of poison. We hope to attract birds and other wildlife by creating specific habitats as e.g. uncut bracken, and by placing bird feeders.
