The rooms were beautiful, clean and tidy. Breakfast could not be faulted and the hosts were very friendly and always willing to help. We had a lovely break and would recommend a stay there to anyone!! Well worth it!! Read less

On arrival we were warmly welcomed, even tho we were alittle early. The room was a Standard twin,it was rather small and would have served better as a single but it was clean with lovely bed linen and soft towels. It was a shame the weather wasn't good but we managed a walk along the coast path which was nearby and it isnt far to the town. We visited Woolacombe 4 miles away with its beautiful beach. Theres plenty of places to eat in Ilfracombe, the pubs aren't that special tho. Read less

The Woodlands is a 4 star guest accommodation located in the exclusive Torrs Park area of Ilfracombe. The hotel has 10 high standard en suite rooms and these range from comfortable standard rooms, larger premium rooms providing a little more luxury and a deluxe four poster room for that special occasion. Each room has a private table in the dining room for guests to enjoy our renowned breakfast.
The hotel has a large wooded garden that stretches down to a little stream which runs to the sea. We have our own parking and offer secure storage for surf boards, bikes, golf and other recreational equipment. We are located near to Ilfracombe's Tunnels beach, Lee Bay, Woolacombe Bay, Croyde and Saunton Sands beaches. There is a range of activities close by including surfing, walking, horse riding and golf.
The north Devon coast is the perfect place to relax with stunning coastal scenery and the beautiful rolling countryside of Exmoor National Park. Walkers will enjoy the South West coastal path and The Tarka Trail, which is also suitable for cyclists. There are many local attractions from National Trust properties to theme parks, there is something for everyone. There is a wide choice of good local restaurants including Damien Hirst's on the Quay. We look forward to meeting you. Please note that we accept children from the age 8 years of age, and do not accept any pets.

We support local businesses wherever possible by buying locally and supporting local produce. We take steps to reduce our carbon footprint and have installed new, more energy efficient heating systems. Our purchasing endeavours to reduce waste packaging and includes recycling where possible.
