"Our stay was very disappointing and not what we expected."
Our stay in the Kilmorey Arms was not as good as we had expected, as the room was very disappointing and was not the same as the ones displayed on the web site it did not seem to be the executive suite which we had booked over the internet. The reception and dining area was lovely and the staff friendly.

Welcome to The Kilmorey Arms Hotel, situated in the County Down town of Kilkeel. The hotel’s reputation as one of the finest hotels in County Down is justified - the attention to detail and quality of service ensures that guests leave the hotel with good memories and a desire to return. As well as being home to Northern Ireland's largest fishing fleet, Kilkeel is perfectly placed to explore the famous Mountains of Mourne.
The Kilmorey is only 20 miles from the border with the Irish Republic, 2 hours drive from Dublin and an hour and a half from Belfast. The hotel is an ideal base for discovering Ireland's east coast. Even the world renowned Giants Causeway is a comfortable day trip. The hotel is also well placed for outdoor pursuits including canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, bouldering, abseiling and orienteering. It is ideal for walking, with a number of different walks in the area, cycling in the Mournes and of course golf, with a number of courses nearby including Royal County Down, which is only 30 minutes away.
The Kilmorey Arms Hotel hosts Bar43, the place for residents and locals to unwind and enjoy the comfortable surroundings. It is a hive of entertainment at the weekend, with music provided by live bands most Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The bar also has a large screen television where we show all major sporting events. Our modern style restaurant provides a relaxed environment to enjoy the food for which the hotel is justly renowned.
