we had dinner (with a large party) which was v.good. Stayed the night in poor room. Small, no chairs, trouser press didnt work part of lamp shade in drawer. b'fast would have been OK if bacon had not been precooked. It could not be cut as it had hardened so much presumably under heat lamps

Response from Cockhaven Manor Hotel:
Thank you for taking the time to complete the questionnaire. You did have the smallest room in the hotel, which is normally use for single occupancy and for any future visit please telephone so that we can ensure that you get a spacious room. The trouser press has been replaced, and also new bedside lamps. Breakfast is normally freshly cooked and you will see that our overall rating for this is very high. Appologies that this standard was not acheived in your case.

Welcome to Cockhaven Manor at Bishopsteignton. This 16th Century Freehouse Inn welcomes you to our well situated hotel, that provides you with a relaxing atmospheric dining area, and well equipped accommodation.

Two function rooms are available. Our Bishop suite offers full facilities for break out groups, and is completely self-contained including its own bar and eating area. There are four-poster beds for honeymoon couples and the romantically inclined, but we also have single, twin, triple and double rooms. All are en suite with a bath or shower.

Cockhaven Manor gives you that 'out of the way' feeling and yet is only 2 miles from Newton Abbot and Teignmouth. The building originates from the sixteenth century - with a number of additions being made two hundred years later. Although it has been modernised in the 1980s, it has essentially retained its old world charm and unique character. Personal service and flexibility are the hallmarks of this independent family run hotel, and we will be happy to meet the requirements you may need.
