Located in a tree-lined avenue and overlooking a park (good for joggers!) The Daylesford offers a truly quiet haven for those wishing to enjoy a peaceful break, but wish to be close to town and its wonderful eateries.
All rooms are ensuite, fully appointed, and include doubles, a superior room (which is available as a double, twin or triple) and a junior suite with separate lounge. The elegant surroundings include a quiet lounge with books and magazines. The dining room continues the sphere of elegance as a place to enjoy the excellent English or Continental breakfast or Continental breakfast which is freshly prepared to order. A vegetarian option is available. Free range eggs, and the bacon and sausages from the local butcher. Everything is of the highest quality, and this is reflected in our guests' comments. We are happy to accommodate guests who require an earlier start.
For dining out, we can recommend some wonderful places to eat. Torquay is a truly gastronomic experience - including a Michelin Star restaurant - The Elephant - and not necessarily expensive either.
Dartmouth, Brixham, Topsham, Salcombe, funky Totness, Dartmoor and Exeter are easily accessible by car or public transport. The station is less than ten minutes walk. The region is famous for its glorious Devon countryside and impressive coastline. On arrival, we can provide full information and help guests plan their break.
