Lovely pub run by a very nice couple, but not really aimed at business travellers. Rooms are in a seperate block, and the walls are very thin. Perhaps because its off season the pub didnt open till 6.30, and no food served till 7 o clock. Food was excellent though. Breakfast not served till 8.30, by that time I was at my clients, so not hot breakfast for me. However, I was given a tray of food and a cafetiere of coffee each night to take back to my room forthe following morning. Not ideal. I Read less
Likes:
Evening meals were well cooked and decent quality.
Dislikes:
Couldn't get a decent cup of coffee until 6.30 in the evening, couldn't get a cooked breakfast which of course I had paid for, and although new and nicely decorated the room was noisy.

Whether for business or pleasure the White Horse is ideally positioned, just off the A1120 tourist route, 10 minutes from the A12. Southwold, Minsmere and Snape Maltings are all 20 minutes away, with many other places of interest nearby. Ipswich town centre is a thirty five minute drive, whilst Norwich is just forty five minutes away.

Southwold, the quintessential old fashioned English seaside resort is only 13 miles away with a selection of shops, a pier and busy harbour.

A converted outbuilding adjacent to the Inn is home to six comfortable bedrooms. Quietly situated with ample parking, many of the rooms have views of the gardens and the open countryside beyond. Single, double and twin rooms as well as two family suites all with en-suite facilities are available. All rooms have colour TV, hairdryer, radio alarm clock and tea/coffee making facilities. Towels and toiletries are also supplied.

We have a fine reputation for providing an ideal dining experience, using fresh local produce wherever possible. You may enjoy lunch in the bar, dinner in the elegant dining room or alfresco dining during the summer months.

The bar is probably the most fascinating room at the Inn and never fails to amaze first time visitors. A warm, cosy and welcoming atmosphere is always evident and provides the perfect place to meet up with friends prior to dining or simply to relax and enjoy a drink. A roaring fire will warm you during the winter months.

We are delighted to announce that we have won the accolade 'Suffolk's Best Food Pub' for both 2008 and 2009!
